Concrete has to be one of the most essential building materials used in the construction of buildings, roads, bridges, dams, etc. It is a composite material consisting of cement, water, gravel, sand or rock. To have a suitable grade of concrete it is necessary to mix the right amount of ingredients. The safest bet is four-two-one; four-part crushed rock, two parts sand, and one part cement. This might be the safest bet but it is not the exact proportion needed every time. In case of the requirement of more strength, more rock is added. For more degree of workability, more cement or sand can be added. Mixing of concrete can be done either by hand or by a machine (preferred or larger constructions)
